Naming a Trusted Contact to Protect Your Family

America’s 65-and-older population has been growing faster than any other age group for at least a decade, coinciding with the first Baby Boomers reaching age 65 in 2011. Since 2011, the number of senior citizens in this country has grown by 34 percent, according to the U.S. Census Bureau. In Vermont, one in five residents is now 65 or older. What does this mean? Lots more people with cognitive impairment and dementia, and consequently a corresponding increase in financial abuse of seniors.
